FAQs

Will you pick me up from my hotel?
Yes. We pick up from all strip hotels. You may also drive out to meet us near our riding site if you prefer to drive. You must confirm the pickup location with us prior to your tour.

Do I need a reservation?
Yes!  You must reserve in advanced, we do not accept customers on site and/or cash payments. You can book your tour online through our secure website.  Your time slot/pickup location is not verified unless you speak with us. We do not see or store any of your credit card information: all payments are processed by Shopify, a reputable e-commerce provider. You can pay with any major credit card or PayPal. Please book online to reserve your adventure tours. We can verify via phone that a specific slot is available, but cannot hold it on your word alone, we require a valid booking to reserve a spot.

How far in advance should I book?
The earlier you book, the more likely you will get the time slot you want.  During the summer months, Saturdays fill up fast. In general, most customers book two weeks ahead of time, but we can take your reservation at any time. We will not hold any time slot unless you have a confirmed booking, but you can contact us about our availability.

How should I dress?
Below you will find the average temperatures for each month, note that these are averages and some weeks are hotter or colder than others so it's good to check the forecast before you leave for your trip. In general, in summer we recommend you wear a t-shirt and light pants, while in winter, heavy pants like jeans and a layers on the top, with at least one heavy layer like a jacket if you are ATV riding

  • For ATV riding, wear long pants and closed toe shoes to protect against rocks and thorny desert plants.
  • For land sailing, wear seasonal comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes.

What should I bring?
You should have a valid government issued ID with you, an ID such as a driver's license, state issued ID, passport or military ID are all valid.  Bring yourself dressed appropriately for whichever activity you are doing. In winter we recommend you bring a jacket, as it sometimes chilly.  We will supply water and sunscreen for all the activities and safety gear such as helmets, gloves, life vests and goggles. For the memories, you can bring a camera. We can also rent out GoPro Hero 3 cameras upon request.

Do I need to tip the guide or driver?
Tips for good service are always appreciated. Our guides/driver spend time and effort before, during and after the tour. So, if you're happy with the service, a tip is recommended. For all your tipping questions, refer to vegas.com tipping guide.

Do I need a driver's license to ride an ATV?
No. You just need a valid form of ID. ATVs are not like cars, we do not have traffic laws to obey, you just need to follow the guide's instructions on operation.

Do you have a weight limit?
Yes, the weight limit for each activity is listed below

  • ATV Riding: 350 lbs
  • Land Sailing: 220 lbs

Can I ride as a passenger on an ATV with someone else? I don't want to drive my own.
No. We do not allow passengers on our ATVs. Our ATVs are not rated to carry passengers, and passengers on our machines have a risk of being thrown from the ATV and suffering injuries. It is safer to ride an ATV yourself. At this time we do not have multi-seater ATVs, other companies offer them and they are called Rhinos, UTVs or side-by-sides.

Can my child under 16 participate?
Contact us via email or phone for questions about bringing children. We cannot give a blanket response for this question, and are sometimes able to accommodate children, but we cannot ensure that we can. With you inquiry for children under the age of 16, please include their weight and height.

What if I break an ATV? Or myself?
Customers can damage ATVs for various reasons: inexperience, inattentiveness, overconfidence, abusive driving etc... Whatever the reason, you are responsible for the cost of parts and labor to repair the ATV. If you do not like this policy, do not book with us. We do not believe customers who leave our equipment as we gave it should pay for other's errors.

If you hurt yourself, our guides will ensure you get immediate medical attention and offer to take you to a medical facility. We are not responsible if you hurt yourself, and you must assume all dangers such as serious injury or death if you choose to ride.

Do you do ATV rentals?
No. If you want to rent, there are several companies that do that, but not us. Keep in mind that rentals are usually more expensive than guided tours.

What if it's not windy for land sailing?
The wind forecast is usually accurate only about 2 days before your tour.  If we see that there is no wind, we can offer you ATV riding as an alternative, or provide you with a refund. If you insist on us taking you out for land sailing despite us not guaranteeing any wind and do not want to participate in an ATV tour, we will not refund you if there is no wind. We must receive your confirmation that you want a refund at least 48 hours before your tour time to provide you with a refund.  If the wind is good and you do not want to go, we cannot provide you with a refund.

Why don't I see kayaking or mountain bike riding on your website? I see reviews for them.

We have temporarily removed these activities from our offering to focus on ATV riding and land sailing. We recommend you check TripAdvisor for other great outfitters.

Why should I book with you?
We are a local, owner operated company. This means we're personable, small and flexible. We offer our products at low prices and are committed to providing quality service.
